14 months

Ryder man is 14 months today. Where as the time gone?! He is growing up so fast he is getting bigger and bigger everyday and discovering and learning new things every second. Ryder is now walking and has been walking for 3 or 4 weeks now he hardly crawls anywhere anymore. I sure do miss that stink bug crawl :( He loves cell phones he has an old one of mine that he plays with and he will walk around the house with it up to his ear jabbering away it's so cute. He now has 6 teeth 2 bottom and 4 top I can't wait until the teething stage is done lol all though I'm pretty sure he has done way good compared to some babies who teeth. He loves his daddy and gets so excited when he walks in the door from work. ( I'm pretty sure that's Clayts highlight of the day :) He loves his trucks and loves to make truck noises he's so good at it but makes a big slobber mess lol He sometimes will cuddle and give you slobbery or tongue kisses ;) His new obsession is lids he loves putting lids on things but gets frustrated when he can't get it off. He is very vocal and isn't shy about when and where to use it at lol He still only says mama and dada he can kind of tell you where is nose and mouth is but he really has to be in the mood. (we're still working on that) He still LOVES his bottle and blanket. Ryder is a pretty good sleeper and is deff. one who needs his sleep. He usually goes to bed around 8-8:30 and doesn't get up until 9-9:30 sometimes he wakes up at 5 or 7 but goes back to sleep with his bottle :) He is down to one nap a day usually goes down around 1 or 2 and sleeps until 3 or 4:30 but lately he has been a little grumpy and tired around 11 so has been taking naps from 11:30-2 witch screws up his sleeping pattern and is really grumpy by 6pm and it's so hard to keep him up until 8. He is starting to pucker his lips and wooing (sp) like an owl it's so cute. I started doing that when I was about 8 months old and that's how I got my nickname Hooter aka Hoot from my dad. It's so cute seeing Ryder do it too. Clayt always says is it normal or just in your jeans and do we have a mini Hooter?! lol he loves to make fun of us.
Ryder is so much fun we love his little personality and the attitude of a one year old. We're so thankful for out little miracle and the joy he brings into our lives.

Johnson Kids

When I flew to Blanding Ryder drove down with Clayton and Cole and he got to stay at his grandma Marcia's Friday night and then all day Saturday. Bridget was down from the following week so all the grand kids were there together and that doesn't happen very often with us and Bridget living away from Blanding. So since they were all together they got a group picture of all 18 grand kids. The oldest is 16 (Kortney) and the youngest is 2 months (Drake). I stole these pics from Bridgets blog. Thanks Bridget :) Times with the Johnson family is pretty crazy when we're all together but it is a lot of fun I love all those little kids they are so much fun and so funny, they all have different attitudes and interests. I'm glad i have them all in my life someday we will live close to them so we can spend more time together but for now this is how it has to be. Thanks for welcoming me into your families so well. I love all of you.

Silly boy

Ryder never really crawled on his hands and knees he's always crawled like a stink bug. He is/was so stinking fast at it too. Now that he is walking he doesn't do it as much but the other night at my moms he was doing it so I though I better get it on video before he quit doing it for good. I love this kid more then anything he is so cute. Also some pictures from our week in Blanding. not very many though.

2 weekends ago I decided to go to Blanding and spend a few days. My sister Misty was flying up and then flying back down so she asked if there was room for me and there was :) So Saturday night we flew down to Blanding after a few hours of shopping and getting a massage :) I was a little nervous because I had never flown in a small plane that far before. They all knew I was nervous so they kept saying things to make me scared lol but in the end it was a lot of fun and I wish I could fly there all the time because when I drove back home with my parents it sucked haha 5 hrs compared to 1 1/2 hours is not fun lol thanks for a fun weekend and for flying me down Arlan :)

Happy Birthday

Yesterday was my dad's birthday. It was just another day but he was thought of a lot more then every other day. I can't wait to see my dad again and for Clayt to be able to meet him and for me to get to know him better. I'm told he was such an awesome guy I love all the stories people tell me about him they make it so much easier on me and it's like I knew him more then what I really did. Happy birthday dad I love and miss you so much can't wait for the big reunion someday. XOXOXO

Ryder's new trick

Ryder has been taking a few steps for the last little while but while we were in Blanding over Labor Day weekend he started taking more steps, and ever since we've been home he's been walking everywhere. When he wants to get somewhere fast then he will crawl it's so cute watching him do both. I can't believe how fast my little boy is growing and how right on track he is with everything for how early he was. I'm so thankful for my little miracle and what a huge blessing he has been to Clayt and I. We love you Ryder man.

Boy or Girl...

By looking at this picture would you think it would be a girls closet or a boys closet? Ryder has so many shirts ALL of these are 12-18 months I bought maybe 10 of them and the rest were given to me by Kara and Lisa. Awesome thanks guys I think there is about 100 shirts. I went from having no pajamas to about 20 and about 30 pair of jeans. And the best part about it is they all pretty much look brand new :) I love hand me downs lol it saves us a lot of money. Clayt is lucky he married a girl like me and doesn't care if she has everything new ( there is A LOT out there who wouldn't do it). Almost everything of Ryders was given to us. His crib, changing table, dresser, most his clothes, some toys, even formula for the last 6 months he was on it it's awesome. Besides diapers I think we have only spent a couple hundred on things for Ryder and most of it was outfits we got in Chicago lol Thanks Kara and Lisa for these older boy clothes and Bridget for the baby clothes you guys are awesome :)

Should he know this?

Ryder has this new thing where you say to him give me a bonk he'll come up and head butt you. Should he really know what it means? lol We did not teach him this he started doing it on his own and when he would do it we would say bonk so he will just do it if you say bonk. It's so cute and funny. But I know we shouldn't encourage it lol so watch out everyone Ryder is good at head butting :)
