Splash Pad

A few weeks ago we finally had some warm weather and was able to be outside and enjoy the sun. But we all know Utah and it's bipolar weather that that didn't last long. We took advantage of a few of the days and went to the splash pad out here in Eagle Mountain. We tried it once last year and Ryder hated it because it's so cold but he loves it this year. Hopefully he'll like the pool and water parks more this year too.

This day we weren't planning on going we were at the softball fields and the kids decided they wanted to play they just played in their clothes. Luckily Ryder was in "game" clothes. I didn't take any pictures from the second day we went.

Visiting the farm

A few weeks ago Ryder's school had a little field trip to the farm at Thanksgiving Point. Ryder was loving just being outside and running around. He rode on the little ponies and we rode on a trailer pulled by a tractor that's what Ryder kept telling his dad lol

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day weekend watching state softball, shopping and hiking to Bridal Vail Falls. Everyone knows I'll do anything to be able to watch some high school softball I love it. San Juan (high school I went to) was up here playing for the state tournament Thursday-Saturday. We didn't make it to a game until Friday evening which they had won to put them playing int he Championship game Saturday afternoon. So Saturday morning we headed down to Spanish Fork to watch some more softball. The girls weren't playing very well and were down 5-1 in the 5th inning when bases were loaded and a senior got up and hit a grand slam to tie it up it was awesome. It was still tied in the last inning and we had a runner on 2nd and a senior got up and it the winning run in. It was such a fun game to watch. Good job San Juan and congrats Coach Swenson.

Sunday we got up and tried to go to breakfast at Ihop but it was packed so went to Jims Family Restaurant and then headed up Provo Canyon and went to Bridal Vail Falls. It was pretty busy but Ryder enjoyed it he loved playing in the water and hiking up the rocks. We were there for a little over an hour and then headed up to Park City and did a little bit of shopping then headed home. Clayt made Steaks and boiled potatoes for dinner it was yummy my favorite. We ended the night playing at the park and chatting with friends.

I'm so happy to be a mom to my two little boys. Being a mom is the most rewarding and challenging thing in life but I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm so thankful for my mom and all the things she has done for me and my family. She's such a great example to me. Thankful for my Mother in Law and for taking me into her family as one of her own and for raising such a wonderful son. Thankful for all my sisters and sister in laws for the great examples they are to me and willing to help me be a better mom.

I hope all the moms out there had a great Mother's Day!

4 month stats

We finally made it to Range's 4 month check up yesterday. His Dr. has been out of town and I had to keep cancelling but we finally made it in :) This little boy is growing like a weed he's pretty chunky, chunkier then what we are used to anyway :) and I love it!!

Weight: 14lbs 0oz 17%

Length: 24.5 " 17%

Head circ. 40.6cm 10%

Since I updated about Range at 4 months he has turned into a horrible sleeper and baby again. He wakes up every 2 hours or more again and he cries all the time. I asked his Dr what I could do or if anything was wrong with him. He told me to start sleep training crying it out. In order for him to be happy during the day he needs to start sleeping at nights. This last weekend was horrible and this week has been too. Tuesday night Range woke up at 11:30pm and literally didn't go back to a good sleep until 6:30am he just kept crying nothing would help but I kept going in and getting him. I was exhausted. This child is killing me.
His Dr said no more then 2 naps a day I've been doing 3 sometimes 4 so he said stop lol and don't give him a nap after 4pm and put him down between 7:30-8:30pm. We were out and about all day yesterday with Ryder's school field trip and Range's Dr so his naps were crazy yesterday and he fell asleep on our way home and woke up around 2:30 I knew I shouldn't give him another nap but I knew he would get tired before bed time. Sure enough 5:00 comes around and he's a beast so I tried everything to keep him up and happy. We played had a bath and played some more and by 7 he had had enough so I decided to lay him down. He had eaten about an hour before that so he wasn't hungry and I just laid him in his crib (I can't do that with Range he usually always has to be asleep before I lay him down or he just screams.) since he was so tired he barely made a peep and was out cold. (That was easy) ha he wakes up at midnight screaming and I told myself I can do this and wasn't going to get him he cried for about 20 minutes and was back to sleep. He woke up again around 3 and I decided ok I'll get him and feed him (should of just let him cry again but I'm still learning) I fed him he went back to sleep and he woke up at 4 and 5 but I let him cry himself back to sleep both times and he only cried for a couple of minutes both times. He started crying again at 6:30 so I gave him some rice milk and he went back to sleep for about another hour.
So our first night of sleep training went ok lets hope tonight goes better and I can just leave him be all night. His Dr said he might cry up to 2 hours straight before he wears himself out eek lets hope that doesn't happen although he did cry for 1 1/2 hours the other night and never fell asleep haha but the longest he cried last night was 20 minutes before he was out again. I really hope this works and we can get him sleeping through the night soon and I really hope us moving around so much within the next year doesn't affect him too much.
