Spike tag

Since the Government decided to shut down Clayton got furloughed. So he decided it was a good time to buy a spike tag and head to Blanding again for some more hunting. Why not it's a paid vacation without using vacation days he said haha we headed to Blanding Friday the week of the shutdown and ended up staying until the next Sunday. We camped with my sister the first night and hung out and hunted with her the first and second day. Thanks to my mom and Denise for keeping Range for us. Ryder was in heaven the whole time we were out on the mountain. Sunday morning we went into town for awhile to do a few things and to take Range to my moms. Clayt told Ryder he could stay on the mountain with Kara so when we were getting ready to leave I was teasing Ryder and told him to get his trucks so we could go he turns around with this super pouty lip I couldn't help but start laughing and walked up to him and picked him, he just lost it and started sobbing about how he wanted to stay. I told him he could stay and that I was teasing. I seriously couldn't stop laughing I wish I had a picture of his face. We had a fun filled week in Blanding. Clayt hunted most of the time. It was the High Schools homecoming week so I went to a lot of the activities for that. Mr. San Juan Monday was a blast my nephew Easton got 1st attendant. Volleyball games Tuesday a dinner Thursday and the parade, teddy bear clinic and football game Friday. We had a lot of fun. Saturday we started the morning off watching 2 of our little nephews play football and then headed back up to the mountain.Clayts mom went with us this time so we just made it a little family trip ;) pretty sure Clayt was thrilled to take us all hunting haha
We didn't see or get anything while we were there but we still had a fun time. Seeing the beautiful mountain and just spending time with family was a lot of fun. We decided to head back home Sunday in hopes the Government would open back up sometime during the week. Which it did today (Thursday the 17th) not sure any of us were ready for it. Ryder sure has enjoyed dad time the last 3 weeks. He leaves for training Monday for 3 weeks too. Might be a rough 3 weeks for mom ;)

 Mr. San Juan dance.. For those who don't know Mr San Juan is for the boys. They do a skit and then are interviewed. It's pretty dang funny. There are 4 judges who don't know the kids that vote for the winner.

Muzzeloader Hunt

Clayt dew out for general Muzzeloader hunt this year again so we packed out bags and headed to Blanding once again for a weekend of fun hunting. We got to Monticello early Friday evening and headed up to the mountain where my parents were camping. I didn't really want to camp because I knew Range would do horrible. Well Clayt didn't let me have a choice and wanted us to camp. Of course Range did horrible and I ended up holding him all night. Clayts alarm went off once we all finally fell in a good sleep. He decided not to leave so that he didn't wake Range. Once Range and I woke back up we woke up Ryder and headed out hunting. It had snowed a little over the night so it was freezing and that meant we did truck hunting instead of going out on the four wheeler lol. It was really foggy up on top so we couldn't see anything so we headed back down. Once we got back to camp we got things packed back up and we headed back into town. My mom sisters and I headed to Farmington NM to pick up my aunt who was coming up to SLC with my mom for a DoTERRA convention. Clayt and Ryder went hunting while we had a little girls trip. He called me and told me Ryder needed to talk to me and Ryder was so excited to tell me dad shot a deer. Clayt got back on and told me he couldn't laugh when I saw it that it was the smallest he's ever shot haha but he only shot it because Ryder was with him and he was pretty pumped. It was a fun short weekend but at least we got us a bambi ;)

 Clayton slammed on his breaks because he thought he saw a deer and the four wheeler slammed into the window.. Awesome.. Funny thing is the day before I was driving the truck on a rocky/bumpy road and he was lecturing me about going super slow so I didn't break the window lol
