Phoenix

Over Memorial weekend Clayton and I dropped the boys off in Blanding and headed to Phoenix for 3 days. The Cubs were playing the Dbacks in a 3 game series so we thought we would hit up some baseball games. We got there late Thursday night and left Sunday night. Friday morning we got up and headed into town to find our hotel we were staying at for the weekend and to do some shopping. We ended up going into Mesa and seeing where the Cubs new spring training field was. It was pretty cool to see. We walked around the grounds there and there were some guys hitting on their practice field they hit a foul ball so I took it lol. It is an official Minor League ball so we figured it had to be someone from their minor league team or on the injured list. We hung out there for awhile then went to Bass Pro Shops and found a little bar to eat at. After we left Mesa we headed back to Phoenix to go check into our motel and then head to game one.
We bought tickets off of the street from some guy and got pretty good seats. We were on the first base line in between first base and right field about 15 rows up it was pretty fun. The game ended up going into 13 innings and the Cubs lost by one. Saturday we got up and spent a few hours at the pool before heading into town to do a little bit of shopping. We shopped for a few hours before heading to game two. We decided we would buy tickets from the box office this night and while we were waiting in line a worker guy came up to us and asked if we cared where we sat. We told him not really and he said he had 3 tickets if we wanted them. We said we would love them and chatted a little bit on where they were and went right in. They were in the outfield on the lower deck in the handicap seats. They weren't too bad for being free. We didn't have to worry about people walking in front of us and I got a soft seat. ha The Cubs won game two in 9 innings. We decided to get our tickets from the box office for Sundays game and went to see what they had Saturday night after the game. We wanted behind the Cubs dugout but they were sold out and so were the other seats we wanted. The guy finally said I have to companion seats down low I can now sell you if you want them. They were handicap seats again and we were ok with that. When we got there Sunday afternoon they were not what we were expecting. We were actually below the field. We were just to the right of the suit and the dugout. It was pretty cool. We had our own bathroom and we could have food delivered to us. Clayt got stopped by the workers a few times going to the bathroom because the players were coming out the the dugout to go to the batting cages in between innings. It was a fun cool experience. We had such a fun weekend and I wish we could do it more often or that I lived in AZ. I could live at the baseball fields. Thanks to the grandmas for watching the boys for us.

Driving home.. The sky was always so pretty and the clouds looked cool.

We got these hats for being one of the first 20,000 in the Stadium Sunday. The boys loved them and were pretty pumped lol

This is what the traffic looked like as we go into Spanish Fork Canyon. We ended up getting out and going towards Ephraim and into Nephi. We drove from Flagstaff to Eagle Mountain on the way home and it took us 9 hours to get back. On our way to Phoenix we drove from Eagle Mountain to Phoenix in one day. We did 1500 miles in 5 days it was nice to be back home. Thanks for spoiling me all weekend babe.
