Weekend Fun

We started our fun weekend Thursday by going to the Zoo. We headed out Thursday morning and spent a few hours there. We went with Ryder's friend from school the two boys had a blast together. Range didn't love it lol but he doesn't like anything unless he's being held :/

Friday Grandma Marcia came up to spend the weekend with us. When she got here we went to lunch at Sizzler and then headed to the Sportsmans Expo in Sandy. Ryder loves that place it's every little hunters dream ;) After we left there we went to the mall did a little shopping and rode the train while Grandma got her haircut.

Saturday we decided to drive around and look at houses. We went to Herriman to look for Places to rent and then headed into Day Break. He went to 2 houses that were for sale and then went through about 10 model homes. We were in heaven. We can't wait until we can buy a house we both love that area but aren't sure where we'll go once our condo sales. We will probably rent for a few years to see what areas we like best :) Ryder loved going through all the houses running up and down the stairs and saying who's bedroom was whos lol I think we're all ready for a bigger place :) After we looked at houses we drove to West Jordan and found Denise and Erics house they bought when they first got married. It was cool to see where they lived and how the neighborhood has changed by what I'm told lol We had dinner at Long Horn steakhouse and it was delicious their steaks were amazing haha

Sunday we went to breakfast and then Marcia headed home. We came home had naps and just hung out. We did a lot of walking and were wore out lol Thanks for coming and spending the weekend with us Grandma and thanks for inviting us to the zoo Jessica and Ashston! :)

Ryder Man

Ryder is growing up so fast and is getting so smart!! This boy amazes us daily. He's so into his letters and makes letters out of anything he can or spots them out everywhere. He knows all the letters and the sounds they make. He can almost spell his name he knows all the letters that go in it but can't quite get the order he says Rydre so pretty dang close. He is still in school and loving it and has made some friends that he talks about daily. He loves his little brother and is always kissing him and saying he loves him. He's a good helper and all in all a really good boy. Don't know what I would do without him he lets me sleep when Range is he will never bug me until I wake up he's so good. He loves the outdoors just like his dad. He loves shooting the guns and being out whenever we can get out. He's ALL boy! So thankful for this little boy can't wait to see what else he surprises us with in the future :) We love you Ryder man.

Funny things Ryder says

We all just busted up laughing it was soo funny..

While we were at Disneyland we got Ryder a gift card and told him he could buy whatever he wanted with his "money" He kept saying he wanted to buy Range something and then he says "dad I'll buy you something if you don't say bad words" haha his dad must say a lot of bad words ;) lol he cracks me up

The other day I picked Ryder up from school and we were talking and he says "mom my teacher called me little" I started laughing and asked him what he said to her "me not little me big" he absolutely HATES when people call him little. He was not a happy dude it was funny.

Ryder is obsessed with garbage and garbage trucks anywhere he sees a garbage can or something with garbage he points it out and gets super excited. If you ask him what he wants to be when he gets big he says drive a garbage truck! haha oh boy ;)

Ryder is still a picky eater and won't eat hardly anything. Ckn nuggets, turn dogs (corn dogs), cereal bars, granola bars, raisins, poptarts, chips, yogurt. He won't drink milk he usually will only drink water he loves the stuff lol he likes rootbeer and some juices. He loves to snack he's kind of like his mom when it comes to eating and it drives Clayton CRAZY! He gets very frustrated with what and how Ryder eats. I guess it's pay back to me for what my mom had to deal with :/ lol

Life Changes..

Life in the Johnson house will be changing soon and we are excited to start our new adventure. Clayton applied for a new job around last summer and they only hire once a year. We went to Denver in October where he had to take some tests to see if he could get it. He passed his tests and they told us it would be awhile before we knew if he got it or not. He could actually be on the list for 2 years before he could actually get the job.. In December we got an e mail with a tentative job offer and that he needed to do a physical and drug test to be considered further on. He got those done and out of the way and we still hadn't heard anything finally the beginning of February he got the real job offer but had no idea when he would be starting. I was so nervous he wasn't going to be able to go to California with us. But the week before we left he finally got the e mail with the start date. February 25, 2013. We were so excited and relieved. Clayton had worked for Hadco for the last 6 years so it was weird for him to quit..
We are under contract with our condo and hope to be closing soon. Clayton will have training in Virginia for 20 weeks (not straight 20 weeks it's spread out) So since he will be gone so much the boys and I will be moving to Blanding to be closer to family for the next year then we will move back up north and settle there. We are excited for this new adventure and all that it has to offer. I'm so happy he has found a job that he will enjoy and will be treated well.He is the youngest employee and only about the 7th one in Utah. Clayton is now an employee for MSHA. (Mine and Safety Health Administration) He's a mine inspector. You can google it if you're not sure what it is :) lol Congrats babe we are so happy for you!!

California

Friday the 15th we headed to California for our Disneyland trip we have had planned for the last year and a half. We decided that we weren't going to take Range so Grandma Marcia met us in Green River and we dropped him off to her. He was able to go to 1 new Aunts house a day while Grandma was at work. Thanks everyone. Stormy's family and Kara's family weren't able to go with us so it was us Misty's family my parents and Crystals family. We had a good time and stayed busy. We did a day at the zoo the beach and 3 days at Disneyland. We were so wore out by the third day our legs and feet hurt and we were so sick of the lines. We all decided 3 days was def. too many. If we go back again we'll buy a one day pass to each side and do a day at each not a 3 day park hopper.. Ryder loved all the characters and that's pretty much what he wanted to do the whole time we were there :) I loved seeing how excited he was to see all his favorite characters he sees on tv..

We checked out of our rooms Friday morning to head home. Our plan was to stop in St. George to pick up Range and head home Saturday. There was a snow storm that hit pretty hard on Saturday so Clayt's family talked us into staying another day. We did a lot of visiting and laughing it was fun. Sunday we went to breakfast with Clayts Aunt and Uncle, grandma and mom and then we headed home. We were all so ready to be home vacation is always nice but it's always nice to be back home too :)

A few funny things Ryder said I want to remember..

Friday night we stayed in Vegas and we stayed at the Excalibur well you all know that it looks like a castle as soon as we saw it Ryder got so excited saying he wanted to sleep in the castle. We got all checked in and decided we were going to go over to my parents hotel to have dinner. Ryder was not a happy camper he just kept crying saying he was ready for bed and wanted to go to sleep. It wasn't even dark outside lol we all just kept laughing. When we were done eating and getting ready to head back we asked Ryder what he wanted to do and he said "me want to go sleep in the castle" haha as soon as we got back he wanted his jammies on and was ready for bed..

He told Kylor he didn't want any cotton candy because it would tickle his teeth.

When we walked through the Castle at Disneyland he kept saying he wanted to go inside the castle that we were still outside lol he was so confused.

He loved sleeping in the hotels and his favorite spot was to sleep on the floors in between the 2 beds..

I might be updating this more as I remember other things :)

Vegas and Zoo

We headed on our trip Friday the 15th. We decided we weren't going to take Range with us so we took a detour and met Marcia in Green River. We missed Range but we know it was for the better for all of us for him to stay with grandma and the aunts. Thank you everyone who took a turn watching him..

Friday we drove all the way to Vegas and met up with Misty and my parents. We checked into our hotel and then had dinner. We didn't do anything Friday night because we were so tired haha we got up Saturday morning and went the to M&M Factory and did a little shopping before we headed to San Diego.

Sunday we got up and headed to San Diego Zoo we were all pretty excited because we had heard great things about it. When we got there Clayt and I were waiting for everyone to get there by the gates and a lady came and asked us if we had bought our tickets yet. We told her no and she gave us 2 FREE passes to get in. BONUS lol we were happy we didn't have to pay to get in :)

We had a good time at the zoo. It's HUGE and I'm pretty sure we didn't even cover half of it maybe next time :)
